About the Artwork: The Cave of Thawr
This Ebru piece tells the story of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Abu Bakr (RA) during their perilous journey from Mecca to Medina. While on their way to Medina, they sought refuge in the Cave of Thawr. Hidden from The Quraysh, their pursuers, they stayed there for three days, relying on Allah’s protection. The Quraysh arrived at the cave's entrance. Miraculously, a spider had woven a web, and pigeons had made a nest at the cave's mouth. Seeing this, the Quraysh thought, "This cave has been sealed long before Muhammad's birth." Believing no one could be inside, and they left.
