“Yaa Malike'l-mulk”

 This phrase, which has become a tradition to be hung in places to always remember the transience of all that one has in this world and that the great creator is the only ruler of all property, has been written in almost all types of writing in the history of calligraphy. The work is a unique composition with the letters that make up Allah's name “Yaa Malike'l-mulk”. With this work, the calligrapher investigates the individual aesthetic power of the jali thuluth letters in the art of calligraphy to make the word read even by their presence side by side without the need for spelling. He also seems to have aimed to make this name permanent in the memory as the task of reading becomes more difficult. 

 The composition, which presents a multi-colored integrity, basically emphasizes the principle of seeking unity in fraction. The letters, which are arranged in the order in which they are read from right to left, adhere to the rules of stacking, which are formed by fitting words into a certain space in the art of calligraphy. In the work, the principle of open composition is followed, and the viewer is left with the task of completing the sections that overflow out of the area through gold cutting.  Thus, the focus transferred from the work to the viewer points outside the composition space. In this respect, the work can also be seen as a modern take on the form of scribbling in calligraphy.
