About the Artwork:
In the Qur'an, the chapter known as "Surah Taha" generally narrates the story of Prophet Musa. For this reason, some interpreters have said that when one says "Taha," we can also understand it as "Musa," which is just one opinion. In the Quran, "Taha" is one of the letters mentioned with a concealed meaning and referred to as "Huruf-ı Mukattaa."
This work is prepared with the aim of serving the 83rd verse of Surah Taha, which marks one of the turning points in the world. It is made with the new invention known as the "penless writing technique," and emerges directly from the paper in the form of calligraphic thuluth, for some seeming as standing on the surface of a sea, for others a lake, and for yet others a desert. This interpretation is left to the audience’s perception, and it is intended to emphasize that the word "Musa" also means "drawn out of water." The letter "t," which stands like a ship on the surface of the water, and the adjacent letter "h" provide exceedingly clear information within an endless infinity.
